Poltalloch

£82.00

This intricate and detailed print is inspired by the ruins of the imposing Poltalloch mansion in Argyle, Scotland. Rachel would visit the area every summer as a child, her Uncle was the game keeper looking after the estate. Many hours were spent sneaking into to grounds and exploring its decaying beauty, making up stories of all the house will have seen over the years..

This print is made using a round copper plate brought back from a recent trip Rachel took to Mexico, for an artist exchange project. The lines are created by directly scratching into the copper plate with a sharp point, a technique know as Drypoint Etching.
