Liminality Series
90cm round birch plywood. Hand-painted surface with elements of drypoint etching, cut and carefully composed onto the wood. Lino-printed fabric is embedded and reflected within the piece, alongside hand-carved details. Ready to hang.
A moment of quiet transformation held in suspension, where something begins to shift, but has not yet fully become.
Part of the Liminality Series, this work explores the space between states: emergence, renewal, and the subtle process of change. A hand releases droplets into water below, the surface responding in expanding ripples, while a mirrored form reaches upward, a reflection, a memory, or a future self.
Water acts as both threshold and witness. a place of cleansing, distortion, and self-recognition. The gesture is gentle, but not without tension; it speaks to the vulnerability of transition, and the uncertain beauty of becoming.
Held within this circular field, the work invites stillness a pause within the process, where reflection and transformation quietly unfold.
